Windsor Coin Challenge!

The Character Counts and Book Fair Committees are joining together to raise money for the A-Z Literacy Movement!

During the week of February 2-5, please have your student(s) use a plastic baggie to bring in loose change and put it in the box located in their classroom. It’s helpful to have them return the baggie every day with the coins of the day.

Pennies on Monday

Nickels on Tuesday

Dimes on Wednesday

Quarters on Thursday

Every student in the classroom with the highest total will win a gift certificate to the Book Fair! The running totals for each classroom will be posted each day in the Commons! The winning classroom will be announced on Friday morning, 2/6!

Again this year, we will help children across the globe by using the money collected to buy books for classrooms, libraries, and children’s camps in Zambia! We will be working with an organization called A-Z Literacy Movement to help send the books to these children. Please see their website to learn more – www.atozliteracy.org.

Scholastic Book Fair’s All For Books program will match donations with a donation of up to 1 million books to national nonprofit organizations including Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc. and Kids In Need Foundation!
