The Future Ready Parent series is a set of classes and seminars sponsored by our local high school District 214 Community Education and District 214’s Professional Learning and Student Services Department. Classes/seminars in this series provide the community with relevant topics affecting today’s youth (spanning from HS, MS, and even elementary aged children). Various dates/topics are held throughout the school year with the “What Every Parent Needs to Know” set of classes offered twice a year (once in Fall and again in Spring).
As of this post, two opportunities remain this 2018/19 school year:
- What Every Parent Needs to Know with presenter Bob Leece, student assistance coordinator at Buffalo Grove High School, on Tuesdays , April 9 through May 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Buffalo Grove High School. The What Every Parent Needs to Know courses with Bob Leece collectively cost $30 per person and are payable via cash or check on the first night of class. - Making Good Choices: Underage Drinking – A Father’s Story, with Douglas Pettit, speaker and parent educator, on Monday, April 15, 2019, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Forest View Educational Center.
